Bird Shooting in Uruguay is fun, comfortable and effective.
Uruguay is mainly an agricultural producer, and many of its lands have been cultivated with different cereals. Because of this, during the last centuries these bird populations have grown tremendously.

Our landscape with beautiful rice and corn fields are the perfect scenery to practice this sport surrounded by nature and assisted by our experienced professionals.

High season: May 1st – July 31st
Duck: May 1st – September 15th
Dove: all year round
Pigeon: January 1st – August 31st
Partridges: May 1st – July 31st

Our outfitter will take you for a well scouted morning hunt. When your bag is full and your stomach is empty, a delicious “asado” (local style barbeque) will be served at the lodge or in the fields. Uruguayan food is excellent, best range fed beef in the world and great wines. After lunch, shooting continues until sunset or even later.

Fields, ponds and plantations are constantly scouted by our experienced guides. Your personal guide will construct your blind from natural brush & camo cloth, place a nice spread of decoys with-in gunning range. Then position themselves a short distance away so to assist you as needed. In the afternoon shoot for Pigeons or Perdiz (partridges) shooting over pointing dogs.

Perdiz (Partridge) is a world-class upland game bird hunted over our well trained pointers. Hunting takes place on grassy fields in cattle and grain countryside. These birds hold very well in ground cover that many times is no higher than your ankles. Perdiz will require extreme attention for they fly away abruptly from the ground where they are almost invisible. If you think North American quail are delicious wait until our chef serves you a dinner of freshly prepared Perdiz.

Hunting this beautiful farming/ranching area of Uruguay is not expensive, it is very comfortable and relaxing. Sights are fabulous, silent and peaceful. People here are kind, warm and friendly.

Species normally included in your morning hunts are Rosybill Pochards, Yellow-billed & White-cheeked Pintails, Chiloe pigeon, Brazilian, Ringed, Silver and Speckled Teal, Fulvous and White-faced Tree Ducks, Black-headed ducks, plus Red Shovlers. These 12 species make beautiful trophies and are much sought after by "Collectors".

While bird shooting in Uruguay there are other fun activities which are described in our website, including Big Game Hunting, ballooning, fishing etc. With proper planning you can make an unforgettable and magical shooting trip to Uruguay.
